Cowardice ~ !!! Be Brave!!! ~ July 24, 2005

The gospel speaks of the distinction between "Cowardice" & being "Brave".

A Treasure Beyond Our Imagination

Today, we have 3 images that are taken from the ordinary life of the people who lived and worked in the times of Jesus. The more we come to know what the kingdom of God is like, the more we can consciously live with the kingdom as our goal.

The Loss of something doesn’t mean we have to stop our world from revolving. But it also doesn’t mean that we should forget about it completely. We should learn from the past, live in the present & prepare, do our best for the future. The priest set as an example; we broke up with our boyfriend/girlfriend, the friends of ours leaving, a family/ loved one died. These are just trials, challenges that will make us a “better” person. We may not totally be the best, but we can do something to live the best way we can.

Also, why do people are afraid to do good things? But when it’s the bad one… it’s that easy for us? When our friends ask us to do smoking, drinking, illegal drag racing, being unfaithful / collecting girls, cheating… the answer “yes” always appear to be that easy to blurt out. But what if someone asks us to pray, to attend mass regulary, to confess for / repent from our sins, to promise to do good & live life in God's light, to read on some religious articles, to volunteer to some charity works... to have these covenants? Will it still be the same spark in our eyes & willingness in our hearts that we can see as we say yes to those bad things? As we follow God's ways in reaching our goal's, it wouldn't be that hard to achieve.

~ God has his plans for us, the Divine Providence who gives us not just what we want but what he knows will do us good and will make us the better person with the guidance of his light.~ GOD BLESS! : )
